Extremely disappointing. I don't live around here and may be bias because we have great pizzerias in South Florida. I drove 30 minutes based on other reviews bought 3 pies, wasted $50 and an hour of my life. Never again. (The staff was very nice though)

All the food was fantastic! We had garlic balls and it was mouth watering. Then we had Jamaican jerk and hot wings, baked to perfection. For dinner we had a calzone, a margarita pizza and lasagna. Everything was five stars! I travel all over the United States and this was by far one of the best!

Since our favorite pizza place doesn't open until 4 pm on Sunday, we opted to give Trattoria a try the other day. The first thing I noticed walking in the door is the atmosphere of this place. It's perfect for a pizza joint! It's a little dimly lit but not dark. There are plenty of tables for smaller or larger groups, covered in the traditional plastic red and white checkered table cloths. There's a nice size bar in the middle with an extensive selection of liquor and, of course, a tv. I can't neglect to mention the big, beautiful patio out back where it's quiet. We started with breadsticks, cheesebread and garlic balls. The freshly made breadsticks were a little small, and the garlic balls were just small chunks of dough with garlic. The cheese bread is thick and puffy squares of dough cut on the diagonal and topped with melted mozzarella and provolone. These were all served with a thick, sweet, garlicky marinara and a fresh, homemade Alfredo sauce. The pizzas were pretty good but smaller than I'm used to. The crust had good flavor, not crispy but certainly not soggy. They use quality toppings and have a good variety to choose from. What sets this pizza above most is the cheese - mozzarella and provolone! Yumm! The service is good and the prices are average. We will definitely be back! I can absolutely see us sitting on that awesome patio laughing and talking with a few friends while enjoying a pizza and a pitcher of cold beer. Mangia!

My mom, boyfriend, and I tried this place after hearing great reviews from my coworkers. The reviews were mainly for pizza. Our mistake must have been not trying the pizza. The restaurant is relatively small and hard to find if you do not know exactly where it is. Easy to drive by even though there is not much surrounding it. Our server did not seem to know much about Italian fare, nor what their own kitchen was able to serve. She had a hard time understanding "put the chicken on a separate plate." The kitchen looked pretty small. We each got entrees and an order of their garlic balls. We never heard the normal kitchen sounds related to preparing what we ordered. This concerned us as we were not sure how, or when, our food had been prepared. Would not go back, even to try the well-reviewed pizza.

The best pizza this side of the Hudson River, bar none. Quite a shocker given the dearth of good food of any kind in this part of Alabama. We are born again, and will certainly return often.

I will start by saying the service was prompt, enthusiastic, and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. We dined outside and it's small but charming. There's a place for kids to play if you bring them along. We started with a beer and Bruschetta and it was fresh and flavorful. Plenty of tomatoes and oil to dip each time! I ordered the baked Ziti with spinach and marinara sauce on the side. My boyfriend ordered an all meat calzone. The sauce was not too heavy and that's typically why I order it on the side. I really enjoyed the flavor. The ziti and spinach were baked in a dish perfectly and I finished not feeling too full especially with the weather warming up. This dish came with more bread which of course I had to eat. I can't wait to visit again I really have no negative feedback on this restaurant.

Great service. Ordered a pizza - I will be nice and say it's not for me. I wanted to like it because I just moved to this area.

Pizza was good, similar to Bentz's, which makes sense because they have the same DNA. The garlic bread bites were a little too oily for my tastes, they should get garlic knots instead.

They have something special going on here. Great staff and atmosphere. It's off the beaten path, but filled with happy customers and wonderful food/menu. They have an amazing pizza and so much more. Great story behind chefs and owners. Check them out!

Pretty darn good pizza! Taste just like brick oven made. Thin crispy crust. I loved my Pizza Margherita (only thing missing was the fresh Basil in it) was D'lish! Fresh ingredients, clean place and good service.

GO THERE FOR THE PIZZA! The mozzarella makes it. Meals = -Philly pizza - really good. Quality ingredients. Mozzarella was gooey and awesome. Crust, thin and crunchy. -Pasta w/ meat balls - good. They make good meat balls and meat sauce. It was a bit watery though. -Baked ziti - meh. Like sauce from a jar. Thick tomato, not spicy marinara. -Chicken piccata - bad. Tough, boiled chicken. Not sautéed. Not browned. Clarified butter on a plate with lemon and capers. Definitely go, but pizza not italian. Italian dishes come on a large oval plate. A plate that was meant for an entree and a side, but there is no side. Big plate of italian. No fresh veg. They only have a side salad. Thought that I was getting a Caesar ... Just Caesar dressing. Love the neighborhood restaurant. Please support it.

Out of the way place. Where the locals go to get away from the tourists. Not a fast food joint so be prepared to wait for your freshly cooked food. They have a full bar and wine too. We had a white pizza with added tomatoes, a Philly cheesesteak and a antipasto salad. All three were awesome. I can not say enough about how delicious all of the food was. This is a definite must try!!!

While I didn't try the pizza as others have claimed is fantastic, we did try three other entrees and found them to be pretty poor across the board. The spaghetti and meatballs were particularly disappointing. The sauce and noodles were quite watery and the meatballs looked as though they came out of the frozen section of the nearby Publix... and you only got four meatballs. As for the taste, it was as though they were boiled somehow. The meatballs were rubbery and spongy all at the same time. The chicken piccata was also kind of gross. It was really watery and the chicken seemed boiled as well. The highlight of the meal was the caesar salad (hard to mess up) and the garlic ballz. Both were fresh and flavorful. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend anyone actually eat there if they want decent entree items.

Best pizza in town. The staff is always extremely nice. It is our weekend ritual to go in and get a pizza for lunch. Wouldn't miss it!

Heard about this hidden gem from a friend. Great home style pizza. Crust was perfect and they didn't skimp on the toppings, which I appreciate.

Pizza was great, as were the garlic ballz. Service could use improvement. Drinks ran dry more than once and had to ask for our server every time we needed anything. Maybe we just caught them on an off night. Definitely going back to try the sandwiches and other entrees. Would have been 5 stars but for the service.

Delicious!! We are traveling from Florida to Texas and there's horrible traffic on I-10, so we got off to break for lunch. We wanted to avoid the nearby chains, so we Yelped local restaurants & decided to try the pizza. It was delicious! The thin crust & tasty sauce/cheese were so good. Kids had a cheese pizza & we had the Margherita. If we were locals we'd surely make it a regular place to eat. The staff was also friendly & welcoming. Loved it!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
